Speaking of nicknames, my buddy and I were talking the other day about the lack of great baseball names in the game today. A-Rod, I-Rod, A-Ram, F-Rod, K-Rod, ManRam, these are all terribly lazy and lame.

Back in the day there were crazy names like Shoeless Joe and Three Finger Brown. Chili Davis is a good name. So is Cocoa Crisp. And Rocco Baldelii...Catfish Hunter....anybody think of any cool baseball names/nicknames from the past or present??

Just to clarify, I always refer to Manny as "Manny" when discussing him.

Just pointing out that "Man Ram" is used on boards and in discussions. This is certainly not the first time I've heard that nickname used for him.

Personally, I don't like the nickname either, he's simply "Manny" to me.
