I've done a couple of drafts so far, and have been amazed at how high some players have gone (B. Colon - fifth pitcher, Preston Wilson - third round). Who have you seen going way ahead of schedule this year in your opinion?

Carlos Beltran.

I know I'll get ripped on by his supporters. I'm not knocking the guy, he's pretty studly.

Compared to where he was drafted last year, or even how cheap I got him mid-way thru the season last year, his value is about as over-inflated as any player right now.

If he fell to me in the 3rd round, I'd be all over him. He's going late 1st early 2nd, and to me, that's too early.

From now on I will be known as the antiguru! The guru lives a life shrouded in secrecy. I am a savior who will enlighten the world with my fantasy baseball advice. I will start with beckett who is clearly set for a breakout seson. The blistors that plagued him in the past are behind him and a life of 20 win seasons and 200 K years await him on the horizon. Next year expect 14 wins with at least 180 K's and an ERA just under 4.00. That is conservative too

Prior is goin far earlier than I would ever take him....he's goin over guys like Buehrle who are actually proven...but hey everyone's on the Prior bandwagon this year...

In my draft, Byung-Hyun Kim went way to early (3rd round) though the guy drafting tried to get all the Asian Players. His name is "Super Happy Fun Team."
However, I think that Paul Byrd is going way to early. I see him going at about the 10th round on the avg, which for a guy who was such a fluke who is going to start the season on the dl it seems too high.

Here are some of my favorites from my draft:

Klesko in Round 3
Prior in Round 4
Hinske in Round 4

Klesko and Hinske went really early ... Prior seems to be going early in every draft. Let's hope he lives up to the hype.
