Weaver - 127 pitches?

What is Tracy's point in letting Weaver go out for the 8th inning having thrown 110 pitches? Jeez, take the guy out after 7 innings and let Weaver remember the last 6 good innings after a terrible 1st inning.... Now it's just another lousy stat line for Weaver. :-D
