Sleepers at 2B

For me, I've narrowed my sights on Phillips and Ellis. Who has the upper hand? Who am I overlooking? Any insight would be appreciated!

You could look into Joe Thurston in LA, but definitely grab Eric Young for Milwaukee if possible. He gets on base and runs home.

Depends what you are looking for I guess. Ellis is a bit more proven, and will be entrenchd in the A's lead-off position all year long. I don't think the Indians will stick with Phillips if he struggles. I'd think they'd start platooning at 2B. Phillips probably has more potential, but whether he reaches it this year is still a big question mark IMO.

Phillips is a bigger gamble, but might be worth it. Personally, I've gone with Ellis on my squads where I need help at 2B, wish I had room for both of them.

agreed. ellis has played, and although his numbers werent that impressive ( 9 hr 50 rbi 6 sbs and a 270 avg over a full season...he only played 100 games) he is only 25 and could improve greatly even this season. phillips has only played in 10 games in the mlb but had 18hr and 14 sbs in the minors last year so he could probably get 10/10 this season with a pretty solid average.
