Just to give a little background on where I first heard about slump busters.

During an interview with Torii Hunter where the interviewer (Tom Arnold) asked Torii whether or not he needed a slumpbuster. Torii laughed it off and told Tom he shouldn't be mentioning slumpbusters because that's a baseball 'inside' thing.

A week later during an interview with AJ Pierzynski, the interviewer (Tom Arnold, again) asked him whether or not he needed a slumpbuster because he was hitting .180 and he answered tersely, "why, do you know somebody?"
