If the Texas game is called in the 8th, does Cordera get S?

If the call the game in the eight does cordero get the save since he came in the 8th and got a batter out....or does he need to pitch the whole inning......will the game being called forfeit his chance for a save?

If the game is called, it would revert back to the score after the 7th, so anything that happened in the 8th would not count. Spiezio's homer, Edgar Martinez's double, Cordero's out would be eliminated.
