How did Pierzynski get an infield single?

A freakin' catcher? I'm using CBS Gamecenter. Already had Beckett going today, so you must imagine how I must be feeling. Odalis...they're SF!!! They have Bonds...and then...umm...umm...right, just Bonds. Was there a play at the plate or something?

He hit a line drive towards Beltre and it nicked the end of his glove and bounced towards Izturis but just got by him too and it rolled a couple feet onto the grass before Izturis picked it up. (does this make sense?)

yeah
he was basically playing pepper with the left side of the infield and won. slightly different positioning (by about 6 inches or so) and it could have been a groundout or a double play (I don't remember if there was anyone at first at the time.)
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
