He just hasn't been the same since that injury. As you mentioned, rotoworld has his stats for his last 50 games, and they aren't pretty.
I think everyone who is worried about Kearns is completely justified. The guy has been absolutely abysmal with no flashes of competence this year...a pinch hit homer and a couple rbi elsewhere just don't cut it. His performance has been frighteningly bad.

"You see, Milton Bradley was available as a FA, and he, um, well, knocks in runs occasionally. And scores. And hits over .158. And even steals a base or two now and then. There are lots of guys like that out there. Really! You should all go out and find the guys available in your league, and replace Kearns with someone who can help you!"

I dont drop players with his calibur of upside in my leagues. I have him and am not worried one bit. He might not have the breakout year I was hopeing for, but he will get out of his funk and provide solid stats worthy of starting on any team in leagues with 8 or more teams eventualy.
His situation is kind of funny for me. I traded Pettitte to an owner who was big on him in the offseason for Kearns in a keeper league. Who gave who the worse trojan horse?

You're panicing over this? What round did you take Kearns in? I took the Yankee 3B with the #1 pick - and you're panicing?
I traded Kearns straight up for Andruw Jones at the start of the year (to a reds owner). Then I traded Jones for Garrett Anderson. So I traded Kearns for Anderson basically. The kearns owner dropped him yesterday so I basically got Anderson for nothing
i just dropped kearns for danny bautista. i figure maybe he can help me in the short term. i really needed someone to be productive from my 2 position bench spots since Wells is doing nothing right now. i just couldn't afford holding onto dead weight any longer. if he gets it going, ill pick up kearns again if no one claims him.
