Panicking about Kearns

Postby Wilma_J » Fri Apr 23, 2004 10:15 am

boy did I make the wrong choice between Dunn and Kearns this year. Should he be dropped in a 12 team league? He's 1 for 35! I'm starting Drew over him now :(

i dropped him yesterday... maybe he'll get hot later in the season, but the way he's playing now, he doesn't deserve a spot on my bench.

I know he's hitting like crap, however I think its a mistake to give up on him right now. Only cut him if you absolutly need his spot to produce. He's my 2nd backup OF and I am fine with the slow start as in the few Reds games i have watched this week, I see alot in his swing still, actually believe it or not, gets pitched around some

I had him and ended up cutting him after there was no trade interest. People in my league at least are fed up with the huge upside/no production act. Plus he's projecting out to 150+ Ks at this point. I know he's walked a decent amount of times, but I think this is another developmental year for him.

Yeah Kearns owner here (raises hand) I am worried right now, seen some stats on rotoworld, he is not the same since his wrist injury. Thing is he is really bad. not even major league material. i will def not drop him. (im in a deep league) but after this weekend he will be benched

I can't wait for the Kearns owner in my league to drop him so I can pick him up.

I wouldn't give much in a trade for him right now, though.

he's making outs, but the contact is solid. he's really smacking it. i venture to guess those hits will start falling in there. hang tight, hot seat.

If you drop Kearns.

You are going to be sorry.

About 2 weeks ago I traded Dunn straight up for Kearns.

Im not mad about it. Dunn might be playing great & Kearns horrible.
But I really believe Kearns will end up having a better season then Dunn

i think they'll both have great years, certainly, but kearns will ratchet it up supernaturally here in the next couple weeks.
