yes. true. there's a book coming out relatively soon, I forget the author or the title, it's something along the lines of "shoots, leaves and ______" or thereabouts. it is supposedly about the decline of English due to online chatrooms and email.
also, it is possible that the author of the original post is from Boston and writes like he speaks.

Eats, Shoots & Leaves; not sure when exactly it's coming out in the US. Leafed (no pun intended) through it a while back, and wasn't terribly impressed...
