he will never be THE CLOSER, but he will get a handful of saves and wins with great %s - pretty valuable even without the saves.

yeah i see more of a "closer by committee" situation waiting to happen in Chicago. Ozzie Guillen has already said whoever he thinks is best for the job at that time will get the chance. Marte should get a decent number of saves by the time season is over.
