Woe to those who wasted a relatively high pick on Santana.

Don't be so sure he's just going through early season troubles, I'm sure he was overvalued, but he'll work to get his stuff back.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

3-2 Twins on a Lew Ford homer :-t

This game sucks in every way. Tigers are losing, Santana is terrible.

Top of the 9th - rally time!

Nathan is brought in to close it out against the heart of the Tiger lineup.

Thats it. MIN wins 4-3. Nathan got the save.

Almost pulled out a game DET shouldnt have won, but I have to question why Trammell gave Vina and Munson the day off on the same day. Norton and Infante have proven neither can hit at this level, and to put them both in on the same day??? Im not happy about that. Also, I wonder why he moved Pena out of the 5 spot in favor of Monroe - seemed to me Pena was getting comfortable hitting 5th.

Regardless - I guess its easy to sit back and question the manager after the game, but I think they are realistic gripes.

I have Santana as my #3 pitcher and did not play him today. I think I'll keep him on the bench until he turns it around, which I think he will. ;-7

I'm guessing he felt Monroe would hit better against the lefty.

I do have some questions about Trammell's managing though - I think he tinkers with the lineup too much, he should stick with his best guys. I know he's trying to give everyone a chance and all but its quite obvious that players like Norton and Infante just can't hack it.
