Santana v. Maroth

Postby Cornbread Maxwell » Thu Apr 22, 2004 1:31 pm

This should be an interesting one.

0-0 after 1. Looks like Maroth needs to settle in a bit.

The last these two faced was April 11th when Maroth went into the 7th inning before giving up an ER.

Anyone playing either Santana or Maroth today?
Anyone want to make some predictions about the game?

Santana escapes the 2nd Inn after loading the bases.

Detroit 7-8-9 hitters are the worst put together this yr. Norton, Inge, and Infante... UGH! :-t

The Tigers are missing D. Young, Munsun, Higginson, and Vina. The loss of those players just had an effect this inning - guaranteed.

yup the injuries are a factor but look for there to be some offense coming soon. I see a 6-4 tiger win today so that's nice for the Motor City.

I've got the old conflict of interest, throwing Santana today in my roto league.

Tigers have to take precedence, although it'd be nice if they could win 1-0 or something of the like.

the 3rd inn could be a long one for Santana - sanchez singles, then Guillen walks - pudge up with 0 outs - men on 1st, 2nd...

Sanchez scores on a sac fly from white: 1-0 DET ;-D

That almost didnt happen if Pudge had hit into the double play. Sanatana has already induced 2 DPs today.

OBTW - Pudge just got a SB

Good thing DET realizez they need to manufacture runs with the weak lineup they have out there.

This is great...
Pena gets a leadoff single.
Norton lays down a sac bunt to move him into scoring posistion and Brandon Inge makes em pay...

2-0 DET.

Thats how you play with a def minded team - gotta love it!
