I see (from watching Sportsline.com) that Affeldt was pitching fine and then started to get hit. Is he pitching good and they're just hitting the ball (yet again), or is he pitching poorly?
I've got this guy on my team and I expected moderate things from him but I've been disappointed so far. I know it's early in the season but he's got a few tough matchups coming up so I'm wondering if I should temporarily dump him for some much needed RBI help.
thanks!

Doesn't sound to bad, if he finishes well I'll have to consider picking him back up.

yeah, I noticed that too. Then again they're also showing he's pitched 5.1 innings...

One other thing I'm watching is the pitch count. As of now it appears he's gone through 5 innings and only thrown 66 pitches. Seems promising so far...

I've listened to part of radio broadcast on the KC side and it is a great day to pitch-cool/wind blowing in.
He still isnt striking many out and it seems like they are hitting him a little but the wind is helping.
I'm an affeldt owner-still a bit concerned.

low amount of hits given up as well as low pitch count is a good sign but the strikeouts is not... This is probly due to the royals philosophy of inducing contact early thru changing speeds, etc rather than striking ppl out, which would also account for low pitch count...
