are barret or blanco for real?

I have victor martinez waiting for lecroy to heal up. but these two are tearing it up -- what are the pluses and minuses of these guys?

Barrett could be good with that lineup no?

Hmmm, yes, Blanco and Barrett are definitely some real sluggers. They're among the best catchers in the game. For me to poop on.

if you want to take a shot at one, get barret. blanco stated the other day that he "knows his role with the team", and he knows that hell be returning to the bench when mauer returns.

dont drop martinez though. soon, he could become the next great hitting catcher.

I'm in the same boat, scavaging for catchers after lecroy went down. Had Estrada last week and martinez this week. Am seriously considering picking up barrett next week simply b/c the indians only have 5 games next week.

I chose Victor Marinez over Barret, but I'm gambling that Barret is simply hot right now and will cool off ina major way like he did two years ago. When in doubt, I always go with the guy with more upside potential . ..

I guess i will jsut stick with victor. I didn't really want blanco. But had to ask. Barrett kind of inrgues me though -- guess it is just the lineup.
