ruban sierra, coming up from the minors, went 4-4, 4 RBI's, 3 runs, with 2 HR's(!) against the rangers today. that is pretty darn good. the giants racked up a total of 19 hits to match the rangers 19. but with the rangers 5 HR's(juan gon, palmero, mrnch, blalock, and teixeira) the giants couldnt pull out the win, they lost 12-16.

wow, i just notice that they had teixiera pitching for 4 1/3 inning, but in the hitting box score, it says he played 3B-1B. what position does he play again? well in the pitvhing cat he gave up 5 ER on10 hits in 4 1/3 innings.

giants pitching didnt look so good either. scott erye, jesse foppert, and ainsworth got rocked. 2 giving up 5, ainsworth giving up 4.

It was Ruben RIVERA that homered twice, not Ruben Sierra. RIVERA has had a solid spring and has probably earned a spot on the roster.
