Your offense looks really good, as long as everyone is healthy. I-Rod, Bagwell, Alfonzo, and Kearns all have injury concerns.

Your starting pitching is a little weak. Mussina, Millwood, and Beckett should do really well, and hopefully for you Russ Ortiz will adjust to life in Atlanta. I don't like Brian Lawrence. Sheets and DeJean are good guys to have on the bench, and who knows what will happen with Contreras in Yankeeland. All in all, I'd look to get one more upper-tier pitcher and your team will be set!

Please comment on my roster here.

I'm trying to trade Ortiz and Encarnacion for a better starter, but there's really no one out there I like that those two could fetch. I went after Clement and I thought that was a fair trade, but it was rejected.

I think Ortiz is gonna be fine though, I'd like more Ks though. But he should be good for 15W and mid 3s ERA. His spring training numbers are:

2W 1.29ERA 0.86WHIP 6K (:,-( ) in 14IP

Lots of hitting but you pitching is less than desirable. It is not terrible but in a ten team league I would not expect that staff to finish in the top three in any one category which means your hitting has to carry the load. With proper management though this team could finish in the top 3rd.

One more pitcher and you are set. You have good pitchers, especially closers, but not a starting pitcher I would call an anchor, although Mussina is close. The problem I'm finding though is that no one will give up a top ten starter for anything less than your first child. I would stick with what you've got and try to get a good pitcher who is slumping at the beginning of the season when his owner gets nervous.
It's time to roll the dice.

That'll be my plan once Huff gets enough starts at third to qualify for the position. If he has a good first month I could probably pitch him and a starter for a decent upgrade at pitcher.

There is a 1250 inning cap for pitching though so I can't stock up too high. And looking at the pitching on the other teams I'm not too scared. Take a look:

Only 2-3 other teams that have a dominant staff have a good offense and I don't think any of them are btter than mine. Plus I think towards the end a lot of these teams are going to go over the innings cap, so I can trade some hitters and get some big arms towards the end I think if need be. Where would you say my staff places among those?

Here are 3 trades I proposed. I doubt any will fly, but it doesn't hurt to try :D

1) Mussina/Contreras for Oswalt
2) Mussina/Contreras for Hudson
3) Mussina/Encarnacion for Zito

Yeah I think he'll be fine too, but if I can trade him and a bench guy for one of those guys I'd go for it :)
