Roto question (how to make the best use of 172 games)

My league yahoo roto league I am in has max games played 172 games played.

I know there is no way a single player can log that many games, but do you think one will be able to use up that many at one position?

my first try at roto, so I am not used to how it works. (used to head to head)

our league is using a lot of stats, so having someone in the lineup every day is important right?

example Charles Johnson didn't play today, if I had another catcher on my roster I could have used him in my lineup, it didn't hurt my average, but I sure didn't get any hits out of the position.

anyone have tips on how to go with this?




my league uses the following postions for offense and stats:

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, Util, Util, DL, DL

Stat Categories: R, H, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, CS, BB, K, E, AVG
