relax dude... i own him too, i'm just benching him until he gets in a groove... this is basically still spring training for him... that lineup is too good for him not to hit.... besides, he just hit a pinch home run sunday... let him get another full week or two, he'll come around...

Grrr ... so I have Kearns in one league but not in the other.
There's a part of me that believes he has too much talent not to turn it on and makes me want to persue a trade for him in the latter league. I'm sure a lot of owners are willing to let him go for cheap right now.
The other part of me doesn't want to be doubly-invested in .668 OPS.

Conflict of intrest between fantasy teams. I know how you feel. I think that is one of the reasons I'm noticeing a few gray hairs around my ears these days. Neck in neck near the end of the scoreing period in 2 seperate leagues? Player A excells for you and makes the difference in one league, but your oponent had him and Player A made the differece to your detriment in the other league? It has left me feeling cold and numb several times.
Some players, like Kearns (BTW I'm on the official bandwagon) can make you a nervous wreck trying to decide if you want to gamble on his upside in multiple leagues.
As to your statement about trying to aquire him buy low sell high cant be said enough. If you think he has it in him, now is the time to make your move.
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I think I've already posted about this a few times, but he is still injured from last year. Not badly, but he's not expected to be 100% again until next year.
He'll have streaks and slumps like everyone else, but his numbers won't be as high this year as his potential (which is pretty big).
Expect him to sit out a few games at a time off and on throught the season. If he sits one day, put him on your bench until he comes back.
I've got him listed as a pretty good #4 OF in a 12-team league, but not much more than that. He's not worth dropping for someone like Randy Winn, but I wouldn't go trading the house to aquire him either.
I know Kearns has been awful in the roto context, but I'd just like to point out that he hasn't been *that* bad in the HTH points based league where I have him. While he hasn't been nearly the steal I thought I was getting in the 10th round of a 14 man draft, he has scored in the 12-14 pts range each week, which isn't horrendous.
If he does pick things up I expect him to be a hot commodity, especially since we have outfield specific eligibility rules and he is eligible at both rf and cf.
