I think Alou should try having Bonds lead off. I mean, its not like the guys who are hitting in front of him are getting on very often anyways, and its not like the guys hitting behind him even begin to provide any protection whatsoever. So why not let the highest OB% guy in the leage lead off and maximize his at bats? It at least guarantees a walk or a legitimate Bond's AB to start every game, and it could end up with Bonds coming up to the plate 50 extra times over the course of a whole season.
I guess Durham is a decent leadoff guy, so maybe hit Bonds 2nd?

never going to happen and for good reason. so you want to have the pitiful giants #8 hitter and the pitcher batting before him?

He should certainly be batting third, but I doubt it will happen because everyone in the media is saying Bonds should bat third, and Alou seems like the kind of stubborn person where when everyone says he should do something differently, he automatically won't no matter what.
