Soriano or Beltran?

Postby GucciBaseballs » Wed Apr 21, 2004 8:23 pm

I have Beltran and was offered Soriano straight up? I think Soriano will put up better power stats, but lower avg and sb? Take it?

This is a tough one. I really like Beltran, and I can see him putting up better numbers than soriano. My head says Soriano due to your weakness at 2nd, but I think too highly of Beltran to say yes.

I would keep Beltran. I think he will reach 30/30 easily this year and might have a chance to go 40/40.

I have Soriano rated just above Beltran. IMHO, they are really close as players but Soriano gets the nod based on position. It is much easier to pick up a good OF than it is to get a similar player at 2B.

I owuld go with Beltran because he will hit for a higher average and his SB and HR totals are not a huge dropoff from Soriano.

Beltran stole no bases last night and Soriano already has 3 on the season?

This was few days ago. Beltran stole 3 in one night I think.

I personally would want Beltran as he gets on base more which leads to more in every other category (can't steal bases or score when your not ON base).

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
