If heard a lot about sleeper pitchers, what do you guys think about some of the suprise hitters this year?

I am suprised at alot of people but Dye and Dunn I am most suprised by.

carlos guillen looks to be a great plug in at a weak position (ss AND 3b). Whether he continues hittin or not, the fact is that he is HOT right now...

Adam LaRoche (1B-Atl)

Keep an eye on this kid. He's got a lot of talent...He breezed through the Braves minor league system and just hit his first major league homer against the Reds tonight!

Aaron Miles (COL)- he really didnt figure that hed be better than average, but hes looking pretty good right now... i though that Coors Field wouldnt help his line drives too much but the lighter air still helps him find the gaps i guess. if he keeps his job i think he will hit .300 with a decent Runs scored.

Michael Barrett- he always had decent hitting abilities for a C, maybe getting out of Montreal helped him out. if u're looking for C especially in a deep or NL only league id look out for Robby Hammock of the Dbacks after he comes back from his left knee injury... last year he hit 282 with 8 HRs and .477 SLUG in just 65 games- pretty impressive for a rookie catcher... he can also steal around 10 bags in a full season which are even more important coming from the C slot.

anyways i also think that Bellhorn will edge out Pokey Reese for the 2B job, so watch out for him- really good power for a 2B and if your league counts OBP instead of BA def worth a look.

Also watch out for Adam Everrett in the no. 2 hole in Houiston... hes a much better hitter this year

Pokey Reese is a two-time Gold Glover but Bellhorn is no slouch with the glove either... the Sox dont need Pokey for any other guy than Derek Lowe prolly... so maybe he'll end up Derek Lowe's personal 2B ;-)

.. the buzz here is that Bellhorn will get the job if he clearly outhits Reese

I don't know if you consider him a sleeper, but I think Adrian Beltre is gonna be the MAN this year. I think he is highly underrated, and he is capable of SO MUCH more than he has been producing in previous years. This year, Beltre will be .300, 32HR, 110 RBI
