I'm in a Yahoo 6x6 league (standard 5x5 categories plus OPS & Holds). I would like some opinions on my guys.

I've also been offered 2 trades. The first is Aurilia, Vlad & Rodrigo Lopez for Sheffield, Tejada & Odalis Perez. The second is Torii Hunter, Lo Duca & Tim Hudson for Piazza & Sheffield. Would you bite on either?

Your starting hitters are solid. You may want a better player than Lee at UT, and your backup hitters seem a little weak, but you can't complain with that lineup.

Mulder, Millwood, Perez, and Beckett are a fine quartet at the top of your rotation. Rivera, Julio, and Escobar should get you enough saves.

If you have daily transactions in your league, you may went to improve your pitching bench. Lawrence and Byrd don't impress me at all. Arthur Rhodes must be for the holds!



As for the trades you were offered, while it's hard to turn down getting Vlad, I'd have to say that the first offer is a bust. Aurilia and Lopez are severe downgrades, and Vlad would be nice to have but your hitting is solid.

I would probably make the second deal, however. Lo Duca is young and has multi-position eligibilitiy. Hunter is probably just as good as Sheffield, and Tim Hudson would greatly strengthen your pitching staff. Go for it!

well i will say that i am not an expert fantasy player by any means, but i will say that the second of the two trades might be worth looking into. piazza is a good player, but in my opinion he is always rated higher than he should be. lo duca i think is an overall better player and will provide better stats throughout the season and not go into as many slups as i have noticed piazza has been susceptible to. torii hunter i think is going to have a great year he is primed and ready. as for tim hudson i don't know much about him. i would definately research this trade and see what career stats have been and look closely at the last three years, that should clear any doubts you might have about any one particular player. what kind of league are you in head to head or rotisseree?
