BoSox acquire LHP Thomas from Twins

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox acquired pitcher Brad Thomas from the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Thomas, 26, made a total of 11 combined appearances with the Twins in 2001, 2003 and this season. He is 0-3 for his career with a 9.89 ERA.

After opening this season with Minnesota and posting a 16.87 ERA in three relief appearances, Thomas was designated for assignment on April 13.
