Who purchased the Atlanta Braves on this date?

Who managed the Atlanta Braves for only one game and what date was it?

The second one is correct. Ted Turner managed the Braves for one game before being forbidden the NL president of doing it again. What I have never found out though is what he did during that game if anything to provoke his banishment.

Great question (and answer) - I had forgotten all about that.

I think the reason was that there's a rule that nobody with a financial share (or however it's worded) in a team may manage, or something similar.
