(OOPs...I did it again, now I have to be P.C and apologise to any shark attack victims in the forum....and Greg Norman).
Lol.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I got it now. I was confused when the original poster said "stadium." That walkway is open to the public and isn't inside the stadium. Having been inside that stadium it sounded just about impossible for someone to jump from it into the bay. Apparently the distance didn't discourage at least one jackass from trying it, according to madvillain.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

A friend of a friend works with this idiot. He was still in the hospital as of this past weekend, at least in serious condition. He was trying to get on some kind of extension that sticks out from the wall to grab the ball and he fell. He wasn't drunk either, just excessively stupid.
Thanks for that--I was curious. The guy doesn't sound all that bright.
That's one hell of a story about the guy who died trying to get his sunglasses too.

Its only about 10 feet from boardwalk to bay, so its not much of a jump. He did do a headfirst dive... into really cold water... imagine what that must have felt like on his face . Then the guy was just hanging around the boardwalk, wet shirt and all! At least he got the ball.
Pac Bell Park is to me the best stadium in the majors, simply because of the splash hit aspect. I mean, that is the coolest, most innovative thing they could have come up with. Its created an entirely new stat, and developed extra exitement for Bond's HRs (if thats possible). A great feature.
I assume you've seen the Oakland A's billboard on the Bay Bridge? It goes a little something like this:
Good for you!! And the last championship was in what--1989? So you can still really savor the moment just like yesterday...
