Rangers place Lewis on DL; Jordan to rehab

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers placed pitcher Colby Lewis on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday. Ryan Snare was recalled from the minors to fill the roster spot.

Lewis is suffering from stiffness in his pitching shoulder. In three starts this season, the righthander is 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA. The move is retroactive to April 18.

Snare, a lefthander, was 0-1 with a 2.61 ERA at Triple-A Oklahoma in two starts.

Also Tuesday, Texas sent outfielder Brian Jordan to Double-A Frisco for an injury rehabilitation assignment. Jordan injured his left knee in the preseason and has yet to play this season.
