Jack Wilson = Nomar Lite?

A nice amount of hits & runs, some dingers and a few SB's. If he was batting 3rd instead of second we may see his RBI total higher as well.
As a Nomar owner i'm happy.
Any other opinions?

Although he'll never be a star, he has gotten better every year for the past 3. I got him with the 390th pick in our draft and was happy with it. He's solid, if unspectacular.

I'd call him more unspectacular than solid. He's not in the team's future.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Started him last week with Furcal out and actually got more points then Furcal got me.... not expecting much, but hoping for enough to have a solid backup

Not a Wilson backer by any means (just happy to have a decent fill in at SS 'til Nomar gets back) but why to you believe he's not in the teams future? He's showed improvement every year in the league and is doing quite well by the team.

He's not in the team's future because he fits the mold of a utility journeyman and the Pirates have better potential options in the minors leagues.
