Going insane - Juan Pierre advice please!

Should I drop him? I took him early so I would be good for steals through the whole season - but now hes not doing anything at all - I know its only week 3, but should I drop him?
What do Don Zimmer and Grady Little have in common? Neither could take out Pedro.

Ya ok, 40-50 sb's and you call him a stiff after ten or so games...
There's a reason you drafted him, the security in knowing that he'll steal that many bases this year. I wouldn't worry about him until mid~late May.

Learn it from us or learn it the hard way: don't drop good players 11 games into the season. Not only is it dumb from your team's perspective, but it's also a good way to hand any half-wit with a #1 waiver priority your league's fantasy title.

Besides he had 2 sb's in his last game, so he can turn things around quick.

A lot of people around here tried to warn off drafting Pierre early, and it looks like they were right.

One thing of note: check out the top 5 SB leaders over the last 5 yrs - rarely does a players name appear more than once or twice. Coincidence? I dont think so - speed players tend to get injured more often IMO.

What to do about him now? See if you can get decent value in a trade or keep him on your bench until he starts to play better. There's no way you can drop such a high draft pick this early because of bad performance.

Just be patient. He'll get you 55-60 steals.

Hold onto him. I was just reading how people should be trying to get him now that his value is lower. He'll get you runs, sbs, and a good average.

If I didn't need pitching WAY more than hitting and speed, I'd definitely target Pierre now. However, I agree that he was overrated entering the fantasy draft stage when Crawford could be many rounds later.

Pierre was number 1 last year with 65 sb's
He was number 2 in '02 with 47 sb's
He tied for number 3 in '01 with 46 sb's
He had 7 sb's in 51 games in '00

How much should you offer for him right now? I've tried an injured Nixon and Hunter for him and was rejected. Was that too much? Bout right? :-[
