Saw this guy on waivers, and picked him up by dropping Winn....He's put up some good numbers so far and it doesn't hurt to play in the Astros's stadium. Is there something else I should know/worry about him? Jenkins is also available..is he a better pickup for an OF?

yeah you should know that his last two years have been terrible, try and trade Biggio to some sucker in your league who thinks he will keep this up
Jenkins is a much better option in the mid-range run (because he might get hurt)

No reason not to expect 100 plus runs and 15 to 20 homers. But thats not especially good for an outfielder. Ride him during this hot streak.

no reason not to expect a .260 average and 60 rbi

The only way I consider picking up Biggio is if he moves back to second base. But with Jeff Kent there, Biggio will rot in the outfield taking valuable playing time away from budding young star Jason Lane.
As far as Biggio is concerned, do you think he'll be a Hall of Famer based on his merit as a quality 2B for most of his career?

Personally, I think Winn is a much better option. Biggio will not continue to hit this well.

well I need one more OF for the short haul....and Winn isn't producing right now, while Biggio is. I look to pick up Torii Hunter though once he comes off the DL (this Thursday I hear). hope Hunter can put up the numbers like he did last year

You mean you hope he puts up numbers better than last yr - especially that BA.
His 2002 numbers would be nice.

I would not have dropped Winn for Big's. Glad to see he is off to a hot start....class guy....but, unless he magically recovers that ",2b" next to his name.....huh-uh!
