It's going to take a lot more than this to take Herges out of the closer's role....he would have to blow about 3 saves in the next week before I would seriously consider picking up his backup. I don't know of any lights-out candidates in SF (except Aardsma maybe, but he's too young and inexperienced still).

Matt Herges is done. He isn't good. This is no Tim Worrell. Its a question of when, not IF, for Herges losing job. He may or may not keep it till Nenn gets back. If I had to guess, I'd guess that he will. If Nenn doesn't come back, Herges won't be closing by the end of the season.
