I dont think Herges is going to stay at closer..... His era is 5.59 and his whip is even worse not too mention opponents batting average against him.....
I would sell him right now...........

I think the wind was a big factor in the ninth. That double by T Long was blown out by the wind and that would have been game over...also Grissom should've caught that ball off his glove

Alou was playing the percentages. The odds of Giles hitting a HR off a lefty were less than him hitting a hr off Herges. There were two guys on 2 outs and the Giants were up 2. All Alou was thinking about was not giving up a HR. Looks like he doesn't have confidence in Herges to get good left handed hitters out. Herges will still get some saves, but not as many.

Do any of you think trading him for F.Cordero is worth it in the long run?

Now may be a decent time to snatch up some David Aardsma insurance, if you have the bench room.

Who is the best bet to take Herges job .... Aardsma or Felix Rodriguez?
Aardsma is probably a better pitcher in the long run but my gut tells me that Rodriguez would get a chance to lose the job.
