He has the worst arm I have ever seen on a C.

That has to be embarrasing with the pitchers are just EASILY stealing 2nd on you.

Ohka is really putting numbers on the board. A hit, a stolen base, an error, two strikeouts, a walk, a home run, and a partridge in a pear tree.

What a joke. If I were a Mets fan I would be absolutely irate at this point. %-6

Ya know what'd be nice - a catcher who can throw to 2b. Novel idea, I know, but it might help this ballclub. Maybe.

This just goes to prove a recent theory I recently developed and that is: Piazza might be a little weak defensively. :-) Understatement of the year.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

i'll take a win and a stolen base by a pitcher on the opposite team every game.

but yes its true piazza can't throw anyone out, thats why he's being moved to first. although i hate when people say he's weak defensively, cause hes great in every other aspect of the defensive game; calling pitches, blocking the plate, not givin up passed balls, etc. he just cant throw anyone out.

Absolutely, Xtreemes. I tried to argue this point here once before but to no avail. Sometimes something gets said so many times over and over that people start to believe it.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

i made sure that i got my #1 ranked catcher, posada, in all 3 leagues.

when piazza had those 2 HR in one game, i gulped and wondered if i targeted the wrong guy.

i think he's hit .1something since then with 0 HR 0 RBI. it doesnt matter where he plays, he's probably going to suck.

i see him being like rafael palmeiro in the AL someday, or edgar martinez better yet... perfect DH material. raffy was a good 1b atges ago but now he plays 1st out of pride nad whatnot.

i think pizzaface has pride too, thats why he sturggles behind the plate, but his future is that of the DH, right mister killebrew?
