Contreras

Postby grammysboy » Mon Apr 19, 2004 8:20 am

I live in a remote area where my only access to yesterday's Red Sox/Yankees game is the computer. I saw that Contreras was lifted in the third while still leading. Did he get hurt, or was he just pitching badly?

he didn't get hurt he gets hurt by the red sox. Threw a lot of pitches in 2 1/3 innings yesterday and the yanks didn't have the confidence to keep him in. He'll be fine although some people in New York think he should be sent to the pen.

Not hurt, just pitching badly. Little control and the breaking ball wasn't breaking. Torre lifted him after 60+ pitches. Disappointing beginning of the year for Contreras, but stick with him, he'll be good.

No, I don't think he will be fine.

2 seinfeld av's in a row? Awesome! But we already have a T-Bone around here. You will now be known as Coco.

Now that's why I get up in the morning. To hear a funny observation using a quote from a funny show. My hat is off to you sir. "Don't sell yourself short saying god bless you to every Tom, Dick and Harry. We should have more people like you in the world." Quoting Seinfeld, nothing beats it.

LOL ;-D

As for Contreras, I'm trying to trade for him (for H. Matsui - I'm loaded with 3rd OF). I admit to not being sure what to expect of him this season, but I think he's worth hanging onto if you can afford the bench spot for a couple of starts.
