To me, ARod is still a first rounder. If you were drafting today with the last pick of the first round, tell me you wouldn't be THRILLED getting ARod at the end of the first round.
Beckett in the 3rd round? Maybe, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with that.
Jeter is still pretty good I think. Maybe a 5th rounder.
I feel the deal favors the side getting ARod. Maybe not enough to veto though, depends on what kinds of offers the guy is rejecting.

Doesn't look vetoable to me. Very few trades are equal straight down the middle and this one isn't that lopsided. Looks like guys just shaking up their roster a little. I'd let it go through.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Don't ask the other managers in your league. Either you are the Commish or you aren't - you make the decision.
If team A needs pitching help and this trade would help him then let it go through. If team A doesn't need any pitching help and A-rod is his only good bat then he is being taken advantage of and you should veto it.

This is bad advice unless you're playing in a money league in which case the Commish shouldn't have a team. As a Commish if I ever face a decision that I am unsure about I always get the opinion of the other owners. The point is for everyone to have fun and I want to make sure I'm not making a decision that will affect that. It is a lot more important to listen to the views of your owners rather than the views of people on a message board, they are the ones that have to play with your decision.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
[size=10]Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
