My estimate is about May 10th. And I doubt it will take long for him to get into a hitting grove....you should start him the 1st day he gets back from the DL.

April 17 Nomar Garciaparra should play catch over the weekend and may even take some grounders, according to the Boston Globe. Ideally, he'll test his Achilles injury by running next week. He still hopes to be back in action by early May

Hopefully early May. Sure will be nice to have his bat back in my lineup and an open DL spot.
