On the play where Griffey overran the ball due to the wind and had to go back to the wall to pick it up, the camera zoomed in and right as Griff picked the ball up you could see, plain as day, a fan try to dump beer or whatever drink it was on Griff, but it ended up just spilling onto the warning track. Neither the announcers nor anyone seemed to notice. I'm all for cheering on your team and hating the "other guy" but stuff like that has no place in the game.

Didnt see the game, but sounds like the work of some drunk in the bleachers. Good thing it didnt land in front of griffey, or else he may have slipped and got hurt

Normally this would be terrible but because its Griffey it's absolutely hilarious. Don't get me wrong I love Griffey but he's really becoming a loveable loser

It's definitely not the first time a fan has tried that...

Cubs fans are crazy this year, when Dusty got thrown out they threw anything they could on the field. Also when Wood got thrown out they were chucking trash in the outfield. Looked real classy

For what it's worth...Cubs fans haven't attacked a coach or an umpire like their across town fans......

Beer? They should use batteries like we do in New York. I mean c'mon, what else are you going to do with old batteries?
