First of all, what is up with Montreal?! I mean, i know they weren't supposed to hit well, but cmon, they had 10 runs their first 9 games. Wilkerson, who i drafted on both my teams, has been awful. Looks like a bad season for the whole team.
Also, Florida's pitching is phenominal, and Beckett looks great. 13 runs/9 games, that's amazing. Do you think they can continue this the whole season?
The rotation is one thing, but they said something on Baseball Tonight that I thought was interesting. McKeon stuck Alfonseca in a tie game to pitch the 8th inning. They made a big deal about how Jack is going to wear out his pitchers, and I hadn't thought of that. It would just be a shame, after Torborg ruined Burnett...those Marlin pitchers have had such a great start to the season.

Alfonseca? The same Alfonseca that pitches for the Braves?
the difference between Benitez and Alfonseca is that one doesnt suck. Can you guess which one sucks? Heres a hint: Not Benitez. Floridas staff is doing great, but the braves swept them. So they are only 8-4 now I think. Not bad though.
Hey, Montreal's starting to come around a little bit. Wilkerson's 5 for his last 7 and had a homer and a steal today.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
