Mantei looked horrible tonight.
Do you guys think Valverde's going to replace him? or is it just one bad game and Mantei will get back on track?

Just a bad game. Closers blow saves all the time. Its going to take a lot more than that for Mantei to lose his job.

ya, even while Valverde was lighting it up last year while Mantei was on DL, Mantei still had the job when he came back, even though he was less effective than Valverde

as a Mantei owner, I am still considering picking up Valverde as insurance

Mantei gets paid too much money to not be a closer. He'll have to screw up royally or get traded for Valverde to close. He's the closer of the future.
