Esteban Loaiza, still a fluke?

He has 3 wins in 3 starts. Starting strong, so was last year a fluke, or is he the real deal?

I don't think he's a fluke, but I don't think he's a top tier yet. Top tier pitchers, IMO, do it year in year out (unless injured). Low era, whip, wins, some have k's.

So, he's not Schilling, Pedro, Halladay, but he's very good. Another good year and he'll be top tier.

I am starting to ask myself that same question. He has generally been really good in his carrear in April so if he can carry this streak into March I will be kicking myself for not selecting him in any of my drafts after he fell to the late rounds.

i still will vote last year was a fluke. his ERA is around 6. Do you know he reminds me a lot of, D. Lowe. A great 2002 and then down hill from year, the only difference is loaiza does not have the redsox lineup so he will not pull off 15 wins this year. Actually, now that i look, Loaiza (03) and Lowe's (02) numbers were actually almost the exact same,

Another difference is he's more of a strikeout pitcher than Lowe, who relies on his defense, and Loaiza's ERA is 3.50, not 6.
