The Mets lineup is a mess right now. We couldn't even hit a little league pitcher right now.
So, Benson needs to have one or two solid starts against good lineups before he proves anything to me.

I'm with Leiter Fan on this one. I would not base any opinions on Benson on today's game.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Hes a great young pitcher with tremendous stuff. I would love to have him in a deep league, however beware: In a keeper league i would think twice, the manager has been working him to VERY high pitch counts lately and I am worried that after this season he might need surgery if this continues.

He's not young really, 29 and turns 30 this year. He's got stuff but has been incredibly inconsistent.

Horacio is pretty young and did average last season, overall I would want benson cause he will get you the K's and ERA and will post a decent number of W's (15 should be expected.)

Benson definetly. He is off to a good start (as are the pirates ). He has tremendous untapped talent and potential. look for 12-14 wins out of him, with above average era and whip numbers. Go Pirates!
