I took the advice from most of you (go after Wood) and I proposed a deal, but it likely will get rejected:
I GIVE: 1B Millar, CF Baldelli, RF Dye, SP Horacio Ramirez
I GET: 1B Durazo, CF Finley, RF Gibbons, SP Wood
The other owner has no one good at 1B, CF and RF (Konerko and Durazo at first, the almighty trio of Finley, Grissom and Payton in center and Klesko and Gibbons who is on the bench in right). This other owner also has Zito and Clemens as SP's that are at least decent or that I would want on my roster. Remember, this is a keeper league (keep 7 players)

i dunno if the guy will accecpt the deal cos ure getting by far the best player in the deal... however its not THAT one sided cos Finley has little value on a keeper and Baldelli's value is way higher.... but u can also sub in Zito for Wood if he doesn't take this... u made a good choice in going after Zito... not only will Wood lead the majors in K's for the next 7-8 years, i dont know how many times ive said this but i honestly think Zito is declining as a P... sorry all you Zito fans
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

You mean "not" going after Zito, based on what else you said.
I also revealed to the other owner that Wood's record each of the last two seasons, a combined 26-22 (12-11 and 14-11) while Zito is 37-17 (23-5 in 02). That may help a little. Also he has Clemens and Loiaza, both who won today along with Zito as of now doing well against Anaheim, so it would be easier for him to trade Wood.
