While I agree this is a dumb move simply because you can keep Percy ready in case K-Rod falters, it really doesn't matter much to the Angels if its technically a save situation or not. Four runs, three runs... its a lead they need protected in the 9th.

See, Jimy saves are bad. In all seriousness, though, with a four run lead, they should've kept F-Rod out there. If he breezed, keep him in. If he had trouble, put in Percy.

The broadcasters stated earlier that Percy was getting rusty not having any work and Mike probably wanted to keep KRod available for tomorrow's game.

With a 4 run lead, it's pretty safe to give to Percy even if he is pretty rusty.

I'm a KRod owner, but it's good managing by Scioscia.
