Only 2 more innings to go, although he'll probably get the loss. But he has already thrown over 100 pitches, but I don't think that's ever mattered to the A's management.

It definitely does matter to A's management. They watch pitch counts and take care of their pitchers far better than any other team in baseball. That's why Hudson, Mulder and Zito have stayed so healthy. The A's once went an entire year without having a single arm injury to any pitcher in their entire system, majors or minors.
