But you think Cordero is a better pitcher overall? Can I see some projections for each?

i like Cordero better...94-96 mph fastball and he's done a nice job closing the last couple of years (when given the chance).

projections:

Cordero - 3.15 era, 1.24 whip, 31 saves

Mesa - 3.95 era, 1.38 wip, 35 saves

I think Cordero will do better in the long run.

edit: Cordero will also have a better K/IP ratio...somewhere a little over 1, while Mesa K's less than 1 batter per IP.
