Does anyone here gamble on the games themselves? I know we've got our money leagues, which is just another form, albeit long term. Football gets talked about all the time with the lines, but I've best on baseball for quite a few years now, and made very good money on it...
Thoughts...
Dabbled with it a little last year with the leftover money in my online account after getting smoked in football. I did pretty well but just got bored with betting a few bucks here and there and stopped after 9 or 10 games. Betting on football is a losing proposition but I think if you're very patient and look for good lines to pop up once in a while, you might be able to win betting on baseball.
absolutely. someone on here said it best. I have been betting on baseball for a while now. and the one thing i have learned is to be patient and wait for those games to come up.
I have learned not to bet just to bet. But over the years i am a little up, can't say alot, but its fun.
Well, in theory...
I mean look at tonights games
Washburn vs Mulder
Webb vs Valdez
I think we all know who we'd go with in those games.
I mean, Ismael Valdez?!?! Funny. With the net/extra innings/the cafe, there's so much info out there these days. Of course, they don't play on paper, they play on tv.
I have never wagered on baseball.....unlike Pete....but I have done so with great sucess with football. I think it is borderline easy to win at football betting if you watch and know the teams. Usually each week there is 1 too 2 games that I bet on. I believe I win 2 out of every 3 on average.
Basketball is another story.....I think I win around half the time.....maybe 51 percent.
Baseball is a solid betting investment, as long as you're able to play dime lines or better. Anyone betting into 20 cent lines is a sap. Stay away from high priced chalk, bet streaks and collect. Definitely a grind it out proposition, but not all that difficult to churn out a nice profit.
