I've been spot starting against the Twins lately.

Gobble last night. Appier tonight.

Their lineup is terrible. That's why I've done it. However, how the hell are they scoring so many runs? Look at this lineup.

Stewart
Punto
Mientkiewicz
Koskie
Offerman
Jones
Ford
Blanco
Guzman

What the hell?! No superstar hitter on that entire offense. Many are below average (Punto, Guzman, Blanco, Offerman, Minetkiewicz) offensively. Just how do they do it?

Haha, good question, but over the years I've learned the same lesson you just did. They are the scrappiest of all team's, but they'll always be in the hunt.

what the hell is this Scooter thing I keep hearing about? I didnt get to see the BoSox-Yanks game friday, so can someone inform me and why you hate it so much?

Not exactly Murderers Row, for sure. But when they're facing the Gobbles and Appiers of the world, good things are likely to happen.

It's a talking baseball that explains pitches (computer animated). It's got the most annoying voice ever heard and explains the most basic things about different pitches. I assume it's designed so that kids get an understanding, but I still think it's unnecessary.

It looks like it was intended as a joke (it wasn't). Every time I see it, I expect the announcers to start laughing afterward and make fun of it.

I think that need to make Tim McCarver dress up like a giant baseball, spin around like a knuckleball, and describe pitches that way.

I hope to god it doesnt go like this.
Scooter: Hi kids, Im a talking baseball. A fastball goes fast and straight. A curveball curves. A slider slides. A changeup, ummmm changes. Knuckleballs , wellll they knuckle ummmk. Dont even get me started on a slurve. Now lets all go watch Barney, ok kids.
So this Scooter thing sounds very insulting to anyone with any bit of baseball knowledge then. I hate it already.
