Is Dusty Baker the Starting Pitcher Killer?

I was at the game, and in my opinion, he made the wrong move. He showed that he had little faith in his bullpen, since he had no one in the pen going into the 9th. He didnt have someone going until Wood got into trouble. It was Borowski and Mercker. I cant believe Hawkins wasnt in the bullpen. Im pretty sure Hawkins has only pitched in maybe 2 games, possibly 3. Though the ejection was great :-D . The bleacher fans littered the field with beer cups and peanut shells following it :-b .

Just what I was thinking....the Cubs have gone from the underdog that everyone loves, to the favorites that everyone loves to hate. I'd rather see the Yankees win than the Cubs at this point, and that's saying a lot.

What would you rather them do? Put in an unreliable reliever/closer and risk the game there or a strong reliable pitcher like Wood. I dont think leaving him in there for another inning resulted in his arm being sore or whatever the hell your reason is. Why dont we all stop worrying about the numbers like pitch count and go with our senses like leaving in the guy to complte the game himself.

Arm murdering? How is it arm murdering to trust your pitcher and leave him in to throw what what it? Maybe 15 extra pitches until he may have taken him out anyway if he was getting himself in trouble.
