Is Dusty Baker the Starting Pitcher Killer?

Now that prior's arm is jacked up, today he had Kerry Wood throw over 115 pitches and he blew the game! Dammit!
Bring in the friggin closer in th 9th!
H e is a total moron, remember those racist comments not so long ago...............................This guy is just a total jerk!By the way Zambrano's pitch count seem to be up there as well, I t wont be long before all the Cubs young guns have empty chambers.

I think this game is a bad example of how bad Dusty is.

The game was close, may be Wood said "I'm fine and I want to finish this." You don't call rank on a pitcher like Wood without good reason.

Last season, I forget which game, Dusty left Prior is game in which he threw over 100 pitches by the 7th and Cubs were winning 7-1. That is stupid.

It was a close game, and I'm sure Wood told Baker he wanted to finish it out. He's a horse and most times he gets it done.

Actually if you look this year, since the Cubs bullpen has been performing, Dusty's pulled starting pitchers quite early so far this year. He just plays his teams strengths better then any manager in the game. GET OVER IT.

Good point. But it not fair to compare Martinez and Wood as they are not the same type of pitchers. I just feel that without good reason it's like showing you have no faith in him or don't believe him. And yes, there was good reason to pull Martinez (he can't pitch long).

I just got the numbers straight. I thought it was 115 the whole game, turns it was 131. That's too much. Dusty is a nit wit.
