Tribe places Jimenez on DL

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians placed pitcher Jose Jimenez on the 15-day disabled list Saturday due to soreness in his left side.

Jimenez has a strained left intercostal muscle and first experienced the pain in his last outing on April 11th at Kansas City.

In four relief appearances this season, Jimenez is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA.

In a related move, the team purchased the contract of pitcher Dave Lee.
